"I'm guilty of placing this dulcimer on a pedestal, which I know I shouldn't do, but it's sort of become something else entirely. Some day, I'll play her more often - but right now, I don't want to rub off any of the signatures, it's already started to happen, just from the infrequent traffic it's gotten since Willie Nelson and his band first signed it back in 2000. Since then, Cyndi Lauper, Jill Sobule, Rob Thomas and supporting act members have signed Dee. At some point, I'd like to get a few more signatures and then seal the top so that they won't wear away, because this is a fantastic sounding instrument with a rosewood fretboard and creamy walnut body. The action needs to be lowered some, but she is a sweet girl."
