"When you're sitting in a jam with lots of louder instruments, it helps to have a little lady who can hold her own in a crowd. Nikki is a six-string cherry wood beauty with a big voice and solid tone. I usually will play her if I'm doing something mainly rhythmic as back-up to a song. Her voice is expressive and dynamic and can be convinced to whisper or articulate finely in melodic passages when needed - but she really was made to cut through the jam and get heard."
