Jae's Links www.buddyguy.com | Movie #2 - Bing & Jae's Wedding Shower Movie #1 - Mailing the invitations... It all started with a Yahoo! instant message on January 20th, 2002. One "Bluezfan" typed to one "Black Bach" that his moniker happened to be "one of my favorite blues musicians." The latter was hosting the World Wide Radio Renaissance program on M4 Radio at the time and asked the former what kind of music she'd like to hear. With a formal request to hear some blues, Bing Futch extended the Sunday night program fifteen minutes past its scheduled end time in order to play some local blues music for Jerri "Jae" Gibbs. The two connected briefly by phone after the show was over and arranged to meet two days later at a Bennigan's on Colonial Drive. As fate would have it, immediate sparks flew and they've been practically inseparable ever since! Now, over two years later, Bing and Jae have arrived at a mutual port of call, about to embark on a journey that finds them committed to one another as husband and wife, friends and lovers, human partners and spiritual soulmates. Their voyage thus far began innocently enough (or not-so-innocently, if you know these two) as the two vibrant personalities sought each other's energizing company with no serious intentions bubbling beneath the surface. In fact, both of these lovebirds were adamant about the fact that they were simply not interested in anything more substantial than great company and the occasional boot-knocking (which, as it turns out, became more than just an occasional occasion.) The seeds of love, however, were planted within Bing's spirit when Jae turned him onto the book "Many Lives, Many Masters" by Brian L. Weiss M.D.. With a whole new sphere of awareness to consider, Bing's love for Jae took a spiritual foothold. It was on a trip to Key West, Florida in May of 2002 that the duo first got a realistic dose of one another. By Bing's account, the mini-vacation shored up his belief that Jae was indeed the woman he'd been looking for. By Jae's account, Bing was exactly the opposite and she couldn't wait for the return to Orlando in order to dump his happy ass. However, as it would prove to be the course for this twosome, time had other plans. And while walking around the Central Florida Fair some months later, Jae finally found herself falling in love with Bing. The Virgo in Jae and the Sagittarius in Bing found issue with one another's most endearing qualities as time rolled merrily along, casting spin upon spin into the shimmering waters of love's ever-rippling ocean. On November 4th, 2002, Bing presented Jae with an engagement ring with gems in the shape of Mickey Mouse and asked for the girl's hand in marriage, much to the shock and delight of their mutual friends, who thought that they'd never see the day.
It was in December of that year that they moved in together, a veritable
Brady Bunch of love that included the combination of Jae's loving dogs
Champ and B along with Bing's two cats Blackjack Savage
and Sluefoot Sue as well as his Ball Python Monty. The new
family grew together quickly as the two heads-of-household began focusing
full-time on the company that they created: J.O.B.
Entertainment Inc.. Among the first projects was a 5-minute short
film called "Meds"
which Jae produced and Bing wrote, shot and scored. It was clear that
along with the love, these two were also a dynamic duo of creative energy!
When they finally set the date, further astounding their circle of friends, they abandoned the original concept of flying to Las Vegas (where they could have an inexpensive and wacky wedding at the Elvis Presley Chapel O' Burning Love, broadcast live on the internet) and instead decided to return to the magical island of Key West, where they had ironically taken a sunset cruise aboard the Schooner Liberty, pretending to be a couple scouting the boat for their future nuptials. It was during that voyage that the two witnessed an actual wedding, in which Bing participated, playing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" for the just-married bride and groom and then proceeding to perform all the way back to port. It was a gem of a moment that the two wished to recreate for their own matrimonial event. So, on May 30th, 2004, Bing and Jae will set sail with their closest friends and family from the Port of Key West in a celebration of love, balance, harmony and eternal devotion in the spirit. It'll be a celebration like none other, full of life and joy, heart and soul and the powerful passion that has united these two for the first time......in this life.
